Archer not getting close enough to atack

Summary:
I send my army out to attack an enemy and the archer doesn’t get close enough to attack
Steps to reproduce:

  1. get a copple footmen
  2. promote one to an archer
    3)send your army to attack an enemy
  3. observe archer standing far back

Expected Results:
archer getting closer to attack enemies
Actual Results:
archer is not getting close enough to attack
