Alpha 9 won't launch! No popup error~

I’m using steam and the alpha 8 works fine. In my event viewer i’m getting an application error (event id 1005)

Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. Windows closed the program Stonehearth because of this error.

  5. Determine whether other files on the same disk can be opened. If not, the disk might be damaged. If it is a hard disk, contact your administrator or computer hardware vendor for further assistance.

hi please try to delete it via steam and then delete rest in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth. after this complete delete one reinstall and a new try :wink:

did that several times already, same result, doesn’t work. i can’t figure out what the problem is T.T

hmmmmm folder dataprotected? its says that it cant find it -.- can you try the installer from humblebundle stable8?

Well yea, the alpha 8 works. I don’t know i was hopping there was some sort of known fix. I guess ill just wait for a stable alpha 9 release, hopefully then it will work on my pc~

Yesterday they were changing the build. There were several errors. So yes, probably the stable release will work fine for you when they release it :smile:
