Cheater hehehe
Thanks for those pictures
I find it’s helped to add in stairs as a seperate building, afterwards. Not sure if that still helps in A14.
Finished the blacksmith’s house. I added the FEP mod from Pandemic for some extra goodies. I’ll be taking a break from designing the castle to work on the crafter’s district, since currently all my workbenches were all in the open.
based off of
I also removed all the trees I planted, since they grew to be too large and started clipping with each other. If anyone knows a way around that let me know.
Someone should make a “small tree mod”
I know your problem…
Wooow i like your buildings and castle. How do you build such fines houses? Do you just use the “single block” all the time to get that fine detail? Also which mods are you using? I see that you have stacked crates on top of each other. Is that a mod or am i too stupid to do that?
Thanks! I use the in-game building designer for the walls, and the slab/single block tool to make the roofs. The fancier stone walls also have slab decorations.
I am using Settlement Decor, Furniture Expansion Plus (from Pandemic’s thread), Slabs with Terrain Colors, and Endpieces as mods. You can stack crates on top of each other in the vanilla game, but you have to wait until the bottom crate is already placed before trying to put something on top of it.
An absolutely beautiful town!
One more picture for tonight/today (it’s almost 7AM, I should get some sleep xD)
The city’s defensive matrix is (finally) undergoing it’s first draft design! The “Smallwall” bears the brunt of enemy assault, while defenders stationed on top of the “Longwall” behind it pick off assaulting troops. Inspired by the battlements of Bastion’s keep from Diablo 3.
Unlike the Smallwall, which is designed to keep enemies at bay, the Longwall is not actually a wall, despite its misleading name. In actuality, it is a series of forts, bastions, and platforms with an especially commanding view of the battlefield. Archers (c’mon, A16!) stationed atop the Longwall have an unparalleled vantage point and can rain down arrows with relative impunity. Several heavy weapons may also be positioned on the Longwall.
I think until I finish the castle proper, the battlements are going to be the most impressive and complex part of the build. I just hope (again) that it doesn’t throw a lua runtime error when i try to build it.
Can we please know what seed for the map you are using?
If you can’t remember, open the Console [Ctrl + C
] and type in world_seed
The seed is 2129532793
Thank you
Slightly more progress on the battlements.
As said previously, inspired by Bastion’s Keep. The original idea was for it to be highly gothic in design and detail, but with voxels I was forced to cut some corners to keep it clean-looking.
I love the way of building in Hearthstone! It’s like pixelart with 3d and being used by characters. It’s great how you can use them, great example of a amazing building. Would love to see the result of the Bastion’s Keep and the other upcoming projects
That is a pretty good reference pic… Looks quite like the style, even if corners were to be cut. It is to be expected, so reinvisioning the design is a must to make it more hearthlinig-like. Find I am doing the same with my lil Arabian nights like town.
Quite like the wall, something I should try some time in the future.
Slow progress on the battlements. I’ve decided to connect the forts together so it actually is a wall. “oh but that’s against your own lore” I know ;_; but it looks cleaner that way.
Again, slow progress because everything on the Longwall is 100% slab.
There needs to be a way to add more than one like to a post… One is not enough!!
Sorry if i’m reviving something, but can u provide your buildings for us? xD
