You will just need to zip the json files and upload them, as json is not an allowed file type. I believe I linked to the instructions in the thread above…
[Ho] Lee Grail… ?
Afterwards, I changed one of the females to Holly Grail, haha xD
Lee Grail was a completely vanilla name that just happened to be.
So unfortunately, I went ahead and executed ~10 Hearthlings via the destroy command because I realized that my computer couldn’t handle populations that neared 30.The idle problems got so out of hand that I sat around for the entire day waiting for them to relocate items to the stash, which they never did until I cleaned up the population.
I tried to clean up as many entities as possible, friendly and hostile. I remembered that there was the goblin chief that had been spawning raiding parties like no other on top of the mountain behind me, but I took down the ladder so they couldn’t reach me. Well, I rebuilt the ladder, and my footmen were overwhelmed and let a few through, which in turn killed another Hearthling.
I dunno, call it poor leadership, but now at least the game works now that there’s less people around. I’ll just keep denying all the Daily Reports so I won’t have to do that again.
You can lower the max # of Hearthlings in the Settings menu [I believe it’s in the Gameplay category] and it won’t show you any more Daily Reports once you reach that number.
Alright, not much progress tonight, mainly because of the reorganization of storage took forever, but at least everything’s pretty now.
I finished the second farm, dug a small river, and planted some trees.
Hey guys, Lumineux is still a thing - it’s not dead! (I know its only 2 days of inactivity, but just to be sure nobody thinks that way) I’m enrolled in a university with an accelerated program so just wanted to make it clear Lumineux will most likely be updated only during weekends or breaks.
I’ve been theorycrafting some designs in the meantime every now and then, but I hope everyone understands education takes priority. I’ll be posting updates as soon as there is something to be updated.
Also, @jomaxro, I’ve decided I’ll upload all my custom buildings after I finish designing all of them, that way I can have a definitive “Lumineux Buildings Pack” that could be used both as a public downloads if everyone wants and as a single, organized post to the bugfixing thread. It’ll take a while, but I think that’s the most efficient way to approach it.
No worries. The devs will be working on most of this next month of bug/performance fixes, including building related issues, so whenever you get it uploaded I am sure they will take a look!
Hey man, don’t worry about us blaming on you not playing every single minute. Good luck on your education and we will just see from you when you have the time!
Oh man @Kasarov your buildings are so nice! I still need to graduate from the generic squared one material buildings I see you have slabs as decoration on the side of your buildings like slabs columns or just wall features. Does that obscure your view when you try to look inside the building with the wall cut or walls down mode? I’ve been holding off on building too much slabs because I like to spy on what my hearthlings are doing in buildings.
Yeah, it does. It kinda sucks modifying furniture placement after your building finishes. I think that for a normal play-through, people shouldn’t use slabs for the walls or roof as much as I did because it kills practicality and it takes more time, but Lumineux is pretty much soley built for looking nice.
I’ve never built anything larger than small towns before (which by the way were mostly functional, almost no slab decorations), so this is my first try at a more established settlement (with hella slabs).
I haven’t tried building and decorating my builds with slabs either. But now I see what people can do using them i’m realy tempted to try out myself
Awesome ! Can you give the template of the building ? :o
Hey there @Jimmy_Dupont, welcome to the Discourse! Check out @Kasarov’s previous post for the answer:
Hey guys, Lumineux isn’t dead yet! Sorry about the inactivity; I just haven’t come up with a good build configuration for the castle… until now. Progress was slow, but I think I finally came up with a design that fits the architectural style of the rest of my buildings. Here’s some screenshots of the future gatehouse.
Designing a castle is hard ;_; but I think I finally made headway
I’m gonna be real sad if I press the build button and it throws an error…
Finished the outer castle gatehouse with the ib command (taking no chances!) I’m most proud of the portcullis design, how it sticks up through the ceiling when open.
In your two story houses, are there ladders or stairs?
The barracks has a ladder, and the inn has stairs.
And your hearthlings really build it?
Wow you lucky guy, my hearthlings won’t build houses with stairs … could you post a picture of the building where we(I) can see the stair, please
