Either way, in Alpha 17 it seems like iron coifs have been removed completely.

I actually just thought of something that could work for archer armor, and while it isnā€™t really anything about iron coifs, I think it still fits in the category we were talking about with archers -

Scale armor. Varanus scale? Maybe. Dragon scale? What is this, Skyrim? (Donā€™t get me wrong, I love Skyrim and dragonscale armor for our archers would be epic) But varanus scale armor would be awesome.

Yes please. Although they need to increase varanous spawn rate then.

It seems like spawn rates for things are random, or atleast not always constant, because I hear of people never getting more than one or two varanus spawning, while in my current game Iā€™ve gotten quite a bunch. At one point, I was getting five (four smaller ones and the larger red one - didnā€™t even know they existed!) every one or two nights.

I donā€™t think the armor should require too much to craft, however. Probably a total of five or six for headwear and a chestpiece.
