Unofficial Model- and Template-Files for Qubicle

Just added another model, this time for the bat (as seen in the live-stream where Tom is modelling the dragon whelp).

If you want to give it a try by yourself… here my collection of pictures, which I am used to gather, prior starting to work on a new model (if pictures are available):

I have also uploaded a “Speed Replication”-Video for this one.

nice video splicing @voxel_pirate … would make this task easier for even a complete voxel n00b like me…

for some reason when i download froggys concept art i get an error on qubicle please help?

nvrmind i figured it out

I cant seem to download voxel pirates creations? it just takes me to a different page full of code can someone help plz? thx

@ScottishBacon Have you tried to right-click the link of a model you would like to download and chose “Save Link As…”? Sounds strange to me that a .qmo-file is shown as code to you.

Thankyou @voxel_pirate, that works, and thanks @Froggy for your concept models they really helped

You’re very welcome, I look forward to seeing what you make!

I think that i might be a good idea, to put a picture together with the download, so you know what exactly you are going to download

But neat idea!

Nice idea… but to be honest, not sure if it is worth the effort for models which will be replaced one day.

But if user submit the models you could ask them to include a picture, that would make it easy for you

True… but so far nobody, apart from Froggy, submitted anything :disappointed:. So I would have to do all the work. It is not that much… but as mentioned, not really worth it if you ask me.

Once I set up a way to send in my creation templates I’ll be updating this forum with:

3 Skeleton Variants, 3 Goblin Variants, 3 Small Table Variants, A bed, A end table, skull, bucket, fence and fence gate and a chair.

so how do you actually post the models from qubicle to here?

Unfortunately you can only upload pictures in this forum, afaik. However, you can upload your models to either free available webspace or your own webspace (if you have some) and include a link to this forum.

but people have uploaded turntable models of them? i need to know how to do that, sorry if i wasn’t clear enough or to dumb enough that i misunderstood your comment. xD

@snowy Posting pictures of models is no big deal. There is an icon (an arrow pointing upwards) labled “Upload” if you create a reply or new post. There you can add pictures from your computer or from a web-link. If you add a picture, it will be just shown. However, this only supports .jpg, .jpeg, .png and .gif… so no upload of .qmo-files. So you can only upload pictures of your models, but not the model-file itself (which is a .qmo-file).

ye, i did that, thats why i asked. so what i should have said is " how do i turn my qmo file into a jpg or something like that?" thanks in advance!

Ok, getting closer to what you have in your mind. Sorry, as the post is not directly related to helping out with Qubicle, I was assuming that you where referring to Pandemic’s question… which is a different “issue”.

What you are looking for is the menu called “Render” in Qubicle itself. If you chose the “Render As…” option in this menu, you will be able to save a picture of your model as a .png- or .bmp-file.

thanks man! i should thank you twice cause i used your models  so thanks x2 but seriously i owe you one!
edit: okay, nope, failed again, it says render as and i clicked it but what next? (sorry if im bad at this never done it before, usually my coder friend does this kinda stuff!)
edit: argh, so many edits, i got it! just gotta see how it comes out now!

@snowy More than welcome. If you struggle, take a look here (starting around 3:20). Might give some hints how this rendering works…
