Unable to delete blocks/building in edit mode

Summary:
I placed blocks on the floor for measurement purposes (the building that i intended to place later has a lenght of 104 blocks). Some hours later before i place this specific building i want to remove those blocks. The erase tool didn’t want to work, neither did the “Remove building” button.
Not sure how i fixed this but somehow i got to press the “Build now” button then cancel but that was weird.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place some blocks on the floor.
  2. ???
  3. Try to remove it.

Expected Results:
Blocks are correctly erased.

Actual Results:
Blocks seem not to respond.

i know I have been having issues with the earser. have you tried moving the mouse slowly rather than regular speed? it seems for me to lose track of where the mouse is so moving slowly seems to work.
