Treasure chests left alone by other NPCs?

Just popping in real quick to say that 1. the game looks absolutely GORGEOUS in 1920x1080, full settings, 2. runs amazingly well on a new system (was becoming unplayable on my old laptop with Rayya release, hence my disappearance these past few weeks), and 3. I’m really liking the NPCs, especially the inter-NPC hostility and interactions.

One thing I noticed in my newest game, related to no. 3, is that NPCs will destroy chests, removing bonus loot. I don’t know if this is intentional to encourage players to play aggressively. In my case, I was waiting for wolves to fight a big zombie before moving in to clear up the mess. They unfortunately destroyed the chest in a few seconds after beating the zombie. Here are my suggestions:

  1. If it is intentional, make it so that NPCs do less damage to the chest so that you have time to recover it. Or make the chests tougher overall.
  2. If it isn’t intentional or desired, maybe have the chests belong to a neutral faction so that they are ignored by NPCs? Or perhaps belong to an enemy that humans, goblins, and rabbits will attack (and make off with any dropped loot).

In any case, they should definitely drop loot when destroyed, regardless of whether or not NPCs steal/destroy it!
