The devs could add a class that summons elementals or demons and such. To summon the things, you would need a special structure or “altar” of sorts. You could then place various items related to what you want to summon on the altar. The summoned entities could have many purposes. Used as guards, traders, extra laborers etc. I know the golemancer class is coming out, this could just be an extension of it.
