The Lounge For All Things Techy And What Not

No, I said that why should I get a smartwatch when I already have a watch and smartphone?

And then

From your apparent hatred toward blind Apple fans, it seems the same excitement over Android is looked down upon when it is directed toward iOS.

iSheep == Android fanboy

I already said that I wrote that Galaxy Gear post because I went full fanboy for some reason.

The glass still hasn’t come out yet, has it? I think it’s something to be afraid of and excited for. On one hand, privacy is reduced even more, on the other hand, having a HUD is incredibly cool and can be really, really handy in some areas.

I for one would love a HUD timetable showing how much time I’ve got left while I’m running (late) for my train.

Speaking of the iWatch and Google Glass, Glass is obviously a fashion failure, as it looks ugly, it looks like some sort of deformed pair of glasses, even though it may provide more than the iWatch. The iWatch, on the other hand, looks sleek and sexy, but I doubt the usefulness of it. Just goes to show that looks don’t always mean anything.

You should really start a blog where you show the flaws in such products and offer better alternatives ones… I think you would have a knack for it

A blog where I fiddle around and review products. May be interesting, but I’ll need some money to afford the products, unless the manufacturers give me a free one just to review and do stuff with it.

It’ll be costly at first, but once you become popular they will jump at the chance to give you products.

Not after they forced their CEO to jump ship because of his mainstream political views  .

(Also, chugging along happily with IE 10 here :stuck_out_tongue: ).

I’m fine with Chrome. I only use Firefox as a backup browser when Chrome blocks my connection because it is not encrypted, or when it’s running slow. Firefox is good, but Chrome is better.

So, you sold your soul?

Lol no, I’m just old enough to remember when the choice was IE or Netscape, and just never switched when Firefox etc appeared on the scene.

Fun Fact: Mozilla Firefox is just an upgraded version of Netscape.

I moved your posts here, they were many and not related to the bug…

I know! Its awesome

You know, if I do make a website discussing and reviewing tech products like PCs, game-consoles, TVs, phones, etc, where do I start? Should I use Wordpress or hire a web developer? Should I add a forum to it? What if I want to get more writers on board?

I think about privacy wait too much, thus I dont like Google sending my search history and the web history in general to the NSA. But hey - whatever you say.

Also, it is not an upgraded Netscape. It is completely re-written with not even taking Netscape as the ā€œbaseā€ so please cite your sources. It was a project by the creators of Netscape, yes. But if you have anything against open-source software which focuses on privacy and doesn’t send your web history to random companies, please talk to the hand.

And? I care about functionality and features, which makes Chrome the premier browser. I sure don’t like their shadiness, but what can I do about about it? I doubt the NSA would want anything to do with me.

That’s what I meant by ā€œupgradedā€. It’s a browser based on Netscape, with a lot of similarities. It’s like a new flavor of Netscape. And I don’t have anything about Firefox. Stop making accusations before you actually stop to think. And I already said, the NSA probably doesn’t care about me, and I don’t care about advertisements because Adblock. Now please, if you don’t want to think before making accusations, and
are treat your browser like your family, please talk to the hand.

sigh, you are probably the hardest one to state something to ever :stuck_out_tongue:

Its just like going to the toilet, you dont do anything shady there but you dont want people watching you either. ā€œI doubt he wants something with me just because I had a piss, so I still use itā€.

Well, jolly good then that Chrome isn’t just a new flavour of Apple’s Safari!

God, you are so paranoid. Have you ever thought to stop to think that maybe the NSA doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you? I don’t like Google’s privacy issues too, and I don’t like the NSA either, but hot damn, there’s a fine line between being precautious and being overly paranoid. I especially love that you treat Firefox as some sort of god and hates Google for a few issues and a government organization that doesn’t even care about you. I doubt Google is watching me right now

Can you stay out of this, please? Usually, when we’re in a argument together, it becomes a flame war and and the forum version of the battle of Gettysburg happens.
