Suggestions for a first model creator?

I’ve always had a skill for spotting and would like to start modeling.
I like Stonehearth’s artstyle so I want to make some Stonehearth models.

Welcome to the discourse!

I’d suggest starting with some simple models like furnature and weapons, and than climbing up towards actual creatures, as they’re waay more hard to figure out and make fit the SH art-style

What software do you suggest?

as @Hyrule_Symbol said, starting with something simple like a table/chair is generally best. i would also suggest opening the stonehearth.smod and taking a look through the games models to get a feel for the style and colors.

if you have the money, i would suggest getting Qubicle, but if you’re like me and don’t have the money and are looking for free alternatives: i use magicavoxel and voxelshop, i do all my modelling in magica, and then use voxelshop to split apart anything that requires multiple matrices.

hope that helps

Thanks, I’ll find them when I get the chance.
