Stonehearth sort of doesn't launch

Ahoy!

I’m having a problem with launching Stonehearth on my laptop. I’ve recently performed a factory reset on my laptop and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10. Prior to this reset, I was able to play Stonehearth with no trouble.

Now when I launch Stonehearth (either through Steam, or clicking directly on the Stonehearth.exe), nothing happens: the game doesn’t appear to launch. However, when I look at the Processes in Task Manager, Stonehearth is running - but I can’t see the game.

My laptop specs are:

Core i5 2.5GHz
6GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT635 2GB

I’ve tried setting the compatibility of the Stonehearth.exe to launch as Windows 7, Windows XP, but it makes no difference.

Any ideas what else I could try?

Many thanks for your time and help.

Besides checking for drivers updates on your manufacturer’s website, and doing a clean reinstall (by deleting manually the Stonehearth folder - backing up savefiles and templates first if you need), try to search if you have any security software (Antivirus, firewalls, etc) that could be interferring with the game.

Could you upload your stonehearth.log file to see if there’s any hint there? It should be inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth if you’re playing with Steam.
