I’m not very tech savvy so I have looked through previous posts about this but haven’t been able to resolve the issue.
I recently redownloaded and installed the nexest version of SH and it won’t load. At all. I try to load from Steam and from the short cut. All that happens is I get the little wheel and then it stops. Nothing at all loads, no error message. Nothing.
I had this same problem a year ago too and just stopped playing. A year ago I had McAffee and now I have Webroot. I’ve tried disabling what I know to do but again I’m not very tech savvy so I may not be doing much of anything.
I really enjoy this game and would love to try the new updates but I have no idea how to get it to load.
I don’t know if this is what you need…sorry again I’m not very tech savvy

Try again without mods. There are a few there kinda outdated, I suspect one of them could be causing your error.
The file you show was correct, but if you can, just drag the file into the message so it appears as a download link.
You can move them to another folder if you want a backup. If it was a steam mod I think the easiest way is to unsub the mods from their pages.
It is just to test if a mod is the cause. If it is, you can try adding then back one at a time to check if the game will break again with a specific one
Watch out with the deleted mods. Some are from the base game.
