Question for the devs probably @max99x
currently when i upload my mod its some seperate files in a folder
Stonehearth\steam_uploads\nordlingmod
and hititng the nice green arrow in the mods tab inside stoneheart.
leading to an uploaded size of like 33MB.
but seeing as users dont -have- to fiddle with the files, and i’d like so save everyone some time and data: is the system set up so that i can just share it as an smod or somthing? (which would knock it down to like, 1 mb)?
This is so when you change something in your mod, only the changed files are uploaded and received as update for the users.
As in, Steam doesn’t care about your file size (and we can guess users too if below 100mb), it only cares about bandwidth and having to use it. So a one time full file that will only change a few kb in an update is better than a smaller that have to be fully resend later.
Ah good to know! Didn’t know it was smart enough to update just the changed files :), doesn’t matter much then, I’ll just try to keep my model files small
