Steam Controller Support

Does anyone know if Radiant has said anything about integrating the Steam Controller into Stonehearth? I think it would be a great idea!

Well I have to disagree on this, to much for a controller in terms of controls. Sorry, just my opinion.

Honestly, I think using a controller would water this down quite a bit, you don’t see many RTS games anymore on a console and I feel that having to use a controller is why. But I could be wrong, if executed correctly it could be great but in my opinion, I don’t think it would be good.

I agree with @ikithme on the part of RTS+controller
it’s just a pain to play RTS games (like C&C, Halo Wars and Tropico on Xbox 360) with sticks and buttons simply because you can’t react in a good manner… and since it’s real time strategy a good reaction is crucial to the game

other than that… I can’t imagine building anything in the building constructor with a controller… I have Minecraft on console too and that’s just plain boring compared to the PC version because the controls just don’t fit the game style

but yeah that’s just all personal experience and my opinion … maybe Radiant pulls a genius solution out of the hat for that but I won’t bet on it

I think Steam controller support goes to the bottom of the feature list, past the line “release”, somewhere next to “Oculus Rift and Hololens support”.

On top of that, the Steam controller can supposedly be mapped to act like a mouse/keyboard - so you can use it even without Radiant’s intervention.

uuuuhh… I’d totally go for the VR and AR support
but that’s probably something the modding community will take care of if not Radiant themself ^^

My two other threads! xD
