That is the single most epic story I have ever read!
Iāve never seen this post!! but itās really good, those difficulty curve pictures made me laugh a LOT xD; I discovered DF a few months ago, and while my knowledge about the game itās pretty basic (iām just starting to play with flooding mechanichs and levers and bridges and the military stuff) i know the huge amount of posibilities it has. That las story about the hamlet of tyrany itās just breathtaking, and makes me want to play again. Also, iām trying to get some friends to play itā¦ but the graphics and the interface itās too hard for them (even using the PeridexisErrant newb pack ), do you have any ideas to catch your friends into this amazing game??
Also, iām interested in another thing about this game. Team radiant has mentioned this game a few times, and do you think they will have a similar complexity in the mechanics for Stonehearth?? Iād love to be able to flood things, or to have a super randomly history generator, or the crafting system, orā¦ well i like a lot of things of DF, and iād love to have a really complex game in the end, where the amount of things you can do and the different things that can happen to the city itās almost infinteā¦ what do you think about this??

Well, for your information, I was looking at the wiki and I got stuck when I couldnāt make my dwarves dig 
.
I certainly hope they will preserve the mechanics without the userface and graphics. 
Uuhh iāve a very good teacher for all of you; Thereās a youtuber called Quill18 that focuses his gameplays around strategic games. One of those itās of course DF, and maybe he doesnāt play it a lot, but fortunatelly for all of us, he has a really good series of videos that i watch when i started to play the game :D; Itās very basic, and it gives some particular tips and tricks for beginners.
Itās ok to start, but once you know the basics (how the UI works, how to dig, and how to plan a fortress with zoning, melting metals and alloysā¦) then just look for other youtubers, until you find another series, i get a lot of inspiration from youtube.

haha thank you!! :p, fortunately, i could get this name for the forums, itās one of my fauvorite characters from Fantasy literature, itās wizard, itās a Badass-wizard, and he even challenged a God!! (ok, enough spoilers for now xD).

Whenever I hear talk of Dark Souls or Dark Souls II being the āHardest Games ever createdā I always chuckle to myself and see a small āStrike the Earth!ā flash before my eyes.

Eh, if anything, itās the hardest game to get started on pc. took me three hours of searching google to get the silly Gfwl to work so i could save. aside from that, i really wish i could feint attacks, but then i would be unstoppable.
