Skywalking Bug (someone learnt how to fly)

The team asked to reproduce and I repeated
In the usual way of playing this behavior has not been seen so far.

We do appreciate you helping us track this down!

Summary:
Once in a while (twice a gameday), I spot hearthlings walking their way, then suddenly doing a sharp 90 degrees turn and literally taking off, flying upwards through cliffs, eventually landing at a random location or- more likely- getting stuck in the middle of the terrain, only their head sticking out. Without the teleport command, my hearthlings would have gone extinct.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. I have
  2. no clue
  3. at all

Expected Results:
Hearthlings properly calculating their way using the path finding algorithms.

Actual Results:
Magic.

Hey @DeMaggo, are you playing r860? Or the unstable version?

I didn’t change anything about the version downloads in steam, so it’s basically the ā€œlast official versionā€, 680.

@DeMaggo try to always include a version number of the game

E.g. Unstable R866
or Stable R860 etc.
it helps the devs out wether its an issue still in their experimental build or not. (or a new bug in the new build) ^^ and in turn helps us, being helped.

This has happened three times now, each with a different Hearthling. I could dig the first one out but now I have someone floating in mid air [no, I did not try to build anything in this area.] and I have no way to get him down; and now the second one is stuck below a road and frankly I don’t want to dig her out and have to worry about rebuilding. This happens at random and I’ll notice it when I’m scrolling around a map and see a hunger bubble that doesn’t seem possible. SH%20Bug
[It will only upload one image at the moment, but you can see behind him that there is a hunger bubble below the ground as well.]

My game is completely updated on Steam as of 7/4/18 1:09pm EST.

I don’t plan to play on this save file and further disrupt anything, so if anyone could let me know what’s going on that’d be great!

Thank you,
Bri <3

This should be already fixed in the unstable version. We’re very sorry that the stable got this bug, hopefully this beta version won’t last too long and we’ll update the stable soon too. Many bugs from the stable version are already fixed.
