lol lucky guy mod very funny!
nice find petard
If you didn’t see in the other thread, I did a small mod spotlight of the Item Spawner. It is more of a review/test style, so quite different from @Petard’s style (which I of course liked)
I need to get a real editor to clean these up better. Any suggestions? Anywhosits here’s one I made with me working around a couple known bugs. click this thingy here to see video on youtube
Here’s my first look! - YouTube

Thanks for the mention man! Finally someone who can pronounce my name correctly
It’s a great vid, I like how you sound personal in a way, like you’re literally sitting next to me talking me through the patches.
I would advise you keep the notes in Word and not on paper cause I can easily hear you messing with it or if you do print them out then lay them down on the desk and don’t touch them.
What mic are you using?
thanks petard just my laptop mic is it noticeable?
lol
word pad got it!
maybe i should invest in a new mic have any suggestions?
You have two choices. Condensed +100 mic or a gaming +200 headset.
The laptop mic is okay but since audio is the second most important thing when making videos, you need to sound very good, standards today are quite high when it comes to that.
not bad but i think a better mic is in order
difficult ho hear.
keep up the good work and keep posting vids
yeah your right, okay i shall have a look for a better mic thanks for your advise petard!
i cant wait to get my vids to a higher standard ![]()
very professional @Mycelus and im very shocked to see that is your first video. i look forward to seeing more videos from you.
@Kyeden just a friendly notice - you can edit your posts by clicking the pencil that appears when you hover over one of your comments.
That way you can keep everything in one comment rather than double or triple posting
Hi there @Kyeden! I appreciate the nice comments! Definitely sub if you’re interested for more, it means a lot to me.
Yes, you will want a dedicated microphone. You don’t need an expensive mic to have good sound quality. My first video was done on my Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2 gaming headset, however, as you can hear, there’s an audible noise floor.
So, I am returning them and I have gotten myself a pair of V-Moda Crossfade LP2 headphones (pricy music headphones), but, for the mic solution, I ordered myself an Audio-Technica ATR2500 USB Cardioid Condenser USB microphone - http://goo.gl/nQyX4j
This microphone is about $60 after tax and is a fantastic mic which I will be doing a review on once I get mine, but from the reviews Ive read and listened to, it sounds fantastic. Very affordable and high quality mic that I will follow up on once I receive mine tomorrow.
A dedicated microphone is always the way to go if you want to make good YouTube vids! Now I will be able to compare the quality of my new mic to my headset mic once I get mine!
thanks for the advice @Geoffers747 and @Mycelus.
i shall check out the mics
This will sound ridiculous, but if you have any sort of karaoke microphone lying around (Rockband, Guitar Hero) that is USB, you might want to try that one. They’re actually really decent.
The mic I showed you also has a stand so it’s meant to be on your desk and everything, perfect for podcasts and talking and YouTube videos and so forth. Gonna be doing all my product reviews and gameplay videos with it.
Thanks for the mention.
