I think it would be great if you can salvages items like furniture or upgrade them or simply put them back it storage (I see one for the storage idea after i posted this)

The return to storage option is currently buggy ATM, but it is in-game in the latest versions, and will presumably be fixed and working soon enough.
Upgrading furniture (especially beds & chairs) is something I & a few others would like to see make it in eventually too though
