I believe the spawn algorithm could be improved. As shown in the picture below, the ogres, varanuses, kobalts and what not all clustered to that tiny encampment near the waters and a distance from my city walls. Neither was my city attacked at all and they had been attacking each other kobalts and ogres vs. varanuses. They would eventually clean themselves out without needing me to interfere and this is in Hard Mode.
