wow…could you be anymore thorough? Awesome, thank you so much…
i could try, but i might sprain something!
you are quite welcome my friend…
Anybody have the sword model? I want to ‘modify’ it.
@Feashrind You can simply download all models used in Stonehearth from the installation folder. First you need to change the stonehearth.smod file into stonehearth.zip and afterwards look for the model you want to adjust. They are all saved as a .qb-file and can be imported into Qubicle. The sword is hiding here:
C:…\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stonehearth\mods\stonehearth\entities\weapons\iron_sword.qb
Okay thanks. =)
So I altered the Stonhearth file into a .zip but when I got to try and import a file into Qubicle it’s not there. I changed the folder to a .zip simply by erasing the .smod off the properties menu for the folder. Also will this cause my game to react differently? Thank-you for helping me I really appreciate it.
Stonehearth will behave the same if you change it from .smod to .zip, that should be no issue. Unfortunately you will have to extract the file you want to use. Even if you assign the ending .qb to Qubicle, it will not open properly. You have to open Qubicle and load the file via the file-menu inside of Qubicle. This or that way you might want to extract the stonehearth.zip, so you can exchange the file later on with your own version and see it in action .
Import/export .qb files only work on paid versions, am I right?
And yes, the game should behave the same with the smods as zips, but I remember I had problems with my mod, so I left my mod’s folder uncompressed (but no other copy of that folder there, that’s conflictive).
The fastest way to see your models in game is to directly replace a qb file with another with the same name. I used to make a backup and work directly over the model, before I began to make mods.
The free version of QC is now unavailable. the download link was removed from their website, so anyone wanting to try it will be out of luck.
Is the Qubicle Constructor Stonehearth Edition worth it or would it be better to go with the QC2?
Im just learning how to do use the program and will only be making creations for StoneHearth!
has anyone purchased the Qubicle Constructor Stonehearth Edition? I would like to know if it is better than QC2 for modeling stonehearth?
When i try to get to the link, there is an error 404, and i can only find the 40$ version.
The Basic edition 15$ is “coming soon”.
All are for 2.0, not 1.6
What else can i use to try to create models for Stonehearth ?
Try this:
1/ Go to their buy page here.
2/ At the bottom of the page is the Question: “Can I still order Qubicle Constructor 1.6?” Click on it.
3/ Click on the link to the Stonehearth Edition that is revealed.
I got it, thanks.
Version 1.6 is still the one they use for SH, or they switched to 2.0 ?
Any idea when the Basic 2.0 will be avalaible ?
From the developer streams it looks like Radiant is still using Qubicle 1. Have not seen yet a release date for the basic version of Qubicle 2.
