This is a interesting bug.
If you have no placed Banner, every Hearthling will attack enemies, in sight, in Town Alert Mode .

But you need to delete the banner right? it wont go into any stockpiles as far as i know?

if you move it and then use town alert mode while it is not deployed, it will count as not placed.

Where do you expect them to run to if there’s no banner?

Considering we already create a polygon of the town using structures placed why not the center of hat polygon? Seems reasonable enough in my eyes if you don’t have any structures then there’s little chance that you also don’t have the banner up and your hearthings are spread out too much
