Nah, just to dam- dang hard to chose.
I really think Satetsu (Iron Sand) needs to be implemented so we can smelt up some Tamahagane (Jewel Steel) and start forging ourselves some elegant Katana.
If not… Guess I’ll just have to do it. Hahaha
if those are real world “things”… awesome…
if you just made them up, to add some flair, so much the better…
Oh they are real all right, the Japanese have come up with some pretty amazing words, and forging process.
Or wolfram! Depends where in the world.
welcome aboard @DinoD123!
and lookey there… i done learned sumthin today!
it’s right there in the opening paragraph…
Copper, Leather, Chitin, Iron, Steel, Mythril, Netherite, Gigasteel, Gold, Mercury…
Netherite, Gigasteel, and Mercury are my own special recipes…
For a second I read ‘Registeel’ and was admittedly confused…
Don’t forget Unobtainium, Uranium, Kryptonite (not to be confused with Krypton), ALL THE ALKILI METALS (if they add water), Livingstone, and GLit(HztOmE*. (*Glitchstone, if it was too glitched for you.)
Why not add “Hearthstone”? It can possesses some kind of magical properties.
and given the size of the actibliz legal team, it also has the magical ability to bring litigation against team radiant…
Why not just have a material called “Aloffathemminite”?
Oh, thats right… I knew I had that name from somewhere.
That’s why the symbol is W!
Tungsten=Lightbulb filament
Tungsten=Highest melting point of any metal
Tantalum,Tungsten,Rhenium
These thoughts come whizzing through my head

I posted the previous post (other than your’s) on December 5th. I think the thread is dead.
Shh… dont tell the mods.
Yer we’ll let this one slide, it’s a pretty interesting thread and can happily serve to house any future metal related discussion!
Keep on keeping on people.
I personally think that the game should contain lots of various metals… and also alloys. I also think the smelting metals and such should be taken in a kind of TerraFirmaCraft way… it takes time for the metals to get out of their ores, and then the metals have to be taken straight to the Blacksmith while the bars are still glowing in order to smelt to maximum efficiency…
This would be cool. It allows late-game, high-tier tech, and should they choose to make their own metals up (which I would have no quams (why does Discourse not count that as a word?) with) then they could give alloys really cool and interesting properties. It’s a neat opportunity to include something really cool and unique.
