 1. This is Turn-based game. One turn = 4 years. Each turn has three phases.

  • Administration - Everything about internal organization and development of a country.
  • Diplomacy - external influence of a country, including Diplomacy, Trade, exploration and espionage. If you want to spy a country, just declare an ‘espionage action’ and send me details by PM.
  • Military - forces. Both naval and land.

2. Starting year is AD 1300 (I’ll be using NW 1 (1st year of the New World)), but I added a little ‘Fantasia’ here. Because of the overexpansion of bra… “Black Death”, all nations will have similar start. And depending of your turns, you may be develop very differently.
 3. Being irrational and thinking you are better than others may cause problems.
 4. Feel free for use a Discussion channel for negotiating and publish the results here (in Diplomacy Phase).

What will be different comparing to the ‘old game’ in playing?
 - It may be a little harder to conquer, but fair.
 - We will be better prepared for eventually PvP actions.

  • Mods will have way more work.

What will be different comparing to the ‘old game’ in technicals?

  • Trade will be finally lucrative. Each province may produce one of three types of goods. Supplies, Metal and Luxury. Each army/navy has needs of those goods, according to its power and experience. But first your people must discover, which type of good may be produced in a province.
  • We, Players, in this world are immortal beings. But to prove, we are destinied to be a king, I am introducing a Courtyard. Each player starts alone, but may get some allies from the natives. If they will be good in some skill, they will be invited to your Court. And they will become your Diplomats, Merchants, Officers, Priests, Explorers… or even Spies. Their help may be very useable (for example, your soldiers are fighting better under your or officer commands). There is one problem with them - they are vulnerable and they can die from diseases, wounds or even from old age.

Phoriist Cillic had two things, which could made him a king - ambition and courage. This, with the sword fighting skills has helped him gaining trust from people after the events now called as ‘The Catastrophe’.

Administration
I have been acknowledged as a ruler of those people. But I think i won’t rule alone. I am starting to search my lands for useable people. Also, we need to recover those lands. Let’s find, which goods we may produce here.
Diplomacy
I have only minor diplomats and basic knowledge. That’s why I am sending people West, in the regions of Old France, Germany, Britain and Italy. I hope there IS any civilization there.
Military
I don’t want to lost those lands very quick. I request people to improve defences. Also, I am signing part of people for the garrison and recruit more troops.

As a young merchant i set out on a mission to bring my family up the ladder in the Republic of Amalfi, Sailing to the Ottomans i bought silk from China and spices from India knowing that these where fine wares and that it would bring a nice price back home.
However, after passing the island known as Crete a few of the man complained about fleas biting them in there sleep. This was no cause for alarm and after further inspection we discover that the silk from china indeed appear to be infected whit fleas. I make a not of cleaning it before i sell it once i get home and think no further on the mater. A week after we came back home those first men died from big black rashes. La di da la di da et-cetera.
Whitin a few years the nations of Europe crumbled being unable to cope whit the events that followed.

I, Elderon Masdur now stand as the chosen leader of what remain of this once great republic and i am resolute to restoring this city to its former glory. All of man agreed that this was a punishment from God, only i know the truth, only i know what i have done. I have been cursed by all the gods, for i now know that there is more then one and only i know what i must do to be forgiven…

I am superior in diplomacy and can swing the most stubborn man and old woman whit a few well chosen words.

Aministrative: Use half of my manpower to help rebuild what was destroyed, reestablishing roads, constructing a port, building ships and make sure the people can live of the land, allso spreds the word that those willing to rebuild and have skills in sertan areas are welcome to sit on the counsel that will aid me in ruling this New Republic of Amalfi, also finds out what sort of resorces i get to tinker whit.

Diplomacy: Sends ships around the Mediterranean finding @Heilari and offers open trade between our nations.
One last thing, i welcome @phoriist’s diplomats and propose a future cooperation.

Military: Uses the other half of the manpower to safeguard the safety of my population knowing that only using half my manpower for this might bring me some nasty band of bandits that will be harder to root out later. Constructs as many trade and warships that i can.

Adminstration
I will establish a government were the the experts (people highly specialized in their field) have the highest ranks (in times of peace scientists, farmer etc. has a bit higher ranking than military people in war time it is opposite.) the best one will become my advisers. I will ask them about their knowledge about the area (what may be of use/which goods there is) food will be first priority. which means that more organized farms also will be established. also i officially converts to Banjoism
Diplomacy
I will serch the area for other established rulers. sending one of my best sailers to the mainland
another one to the bigger island to the west (Ireland) and search the rest of this area.
Military
I will put my military advisors (when i found one) in charge of establishing some watch posts along, a few border patrols and train an city guard that can keep order in my land. the construction of a military academy will be started

Jack Ardame united Munster, Ulster and Connacht under one flag during the fear of the Plague and then marched on Dublin, The seat of power in Ireland. He died during battle and his son, @Newf succeeded him but without the King that united them, Munster, Ulster and Connacht rebelled and their own Kings came to power again. @Newf was able to hold onto Leinster.

Administration: Build an extravagant castle for the King to live in and search for an admiral from nearby fishing towns (Although most people fish you can always see a few quite a few longships built for raiding, It is the captain of one of these I intend to find. He shall be named Grand Admiral, be given Wicklow to rule and shall handle all my Naval affairs, A general amongst my lords, He will be named Grand General and he shall be in charge of recruiting, training and everything else to do with military (Besides Naval Matters of course) , A purser I shall also recruit from amongst my lords with the title Grand Purser and he shall deal with keeping track of resources, money, how many men we lose during a battle etc. and a few clerks who shall be recruited from monasteries so they will be learned men, Their job will be to help the Grand Purser. I divide up land and give it to lords, These lands are called counties and search the land for valuable goods. Also create many farms with Irish Draught Horses pulling the carts and helping plough fields and etc. Most of these farms are Cattle Farms

Diplomacy: Send diplomats to the nearby Kingdom of Essex to acquire trade and alliance. We have heard of this fabled kingdom from women and slaves our raiders bring home from the west coasts of Britain, We also send diplomats to an Island in the north called Iceland which we heard of from people who have shipwrecked on our coast from there and also raiders who once pillaged our northern coast till a show of force by the great King Jack Ardame which helped him bring Ulster to his side.

Military: I improve coastal defences with small sentry towers and small forts. I build a navy and recruit a garrison and recruit a small Army. Using navy starts raiding nearby lands such as England, Wales, Scotland, France, The Faroe Islands and Iceland.

Lore- I naturalnuke saw this “plague” as a chance to prove myself. And what better way then to conquer the world. Starting with Rejiv
Administration- establish government that is ruled as such Me, Secret police, Thanes, raiders, milita, peasants. In this government peasants are trained to be milita in the towns of Iceland. If they are good enough they get to be secret police. Explore ocean in search of fish.
Diplomatic- send ships asking if the Faroe Islands will be my vassals. Send ships to accept Newfs propsal.
Military - send raiding ships in all directions in search of good places to raid these ships will have map makers as well. Set rest to patrol the coasts of Iceland.

Milita come in three parts Coastal, city, and country side. The secret police track people when they begin training for milita. They also track all ships coming to and from and hunt down dangerous criminals. (500 for each city, 300 for each country side, 700 for coastal militas.)

Raiders are lead by Thanes. These Thanes also enforce taxes and rule their landed areas. (Thanes get 1000 raiders and 40 boats each. As of now there should be 3 Thanes.)

Secret police have for branches. Shadows (stealthiest), Hunters(best trackers), Documenters(smartest), and Rallies(most charismatic). Shadows shadow rebels and nobles and kill them if they do something bad. Hunters hunt down criminals. Documenters document people, trades, and comings and goings of ships. The Rallies go into foreign lands and start revolts. All secret police are controlled directly by me.

Heil Ari was once a blacksmith in the coastal trading port of Arla. But after ‘The Catastrophe’, few were left alive in the port. Those that remained made him a leader for his strong leadership and diplomatic skills, able to defuse a heated argument with a few simple words.

Administration
I establish a working government, add some of the brighter villagers to be my advisers, make the port of Arla as the Capital, and task my people to upgrade our fishing industry with stronger nets, and bigger fishing vessels.

Diplomacy
I send some of the more diplomatic villagers, along with an escort of militia, to search the surrounding countryside for signs of civilization. If they find any, they are to be marked down on their map, and supplies will be sent for survival. They would also be given an invitation to join us.

Military
The remaining trained soldiers are tasked to protect Arla from marauders and bandits, as well as defend the farms outside of Arla.

@Gridnick was a hermit said to derive from Mythridites the poison king after a great drought his local people were starving he specialised in poisoned metals they thought he could save them with the metals he created. He killed one man with his metal and the next season there was a huge successful harvest run so he was created king of the Mithrydisia tribe of africa (based in south africa port elizabeth province )

The Ruling houses of Vaile have yet again given over control of the empires wellbeing to the House Militant, Ventris. With the changing of the century, the latest in a line of Ventris sons is named Vaurature on his naming day (around the 18th Birthday) in honor of the founder of the House, centuries ago before the exile. In accordance with the tradition, the former Vaurature stepped down from his position as leader of the house, finally allowing his pact to fade.
Vailen Religion is one of multiple gods, many with contradicting themes, For instance, the God of Good, is also the God of Evil, and Chaos, and the god of Law and Knowledge is also of Death. Needless to say, the leader of House Ventris is always one to seal a pact with Ferios, the god of Death, pledging his eternal service in the Afterlife, for years of life in reality, enough to see their successor in power before fading away into the eternal darkness.

I, Retalamous Bartholemeuinia Grangidierificalius (also known as Grangid Ret [Grangid is a local word for “King”, “Lord”, or “Emperor” in my lore.]), through my cunning and skill, have led the people of my city out of the wastes. I had always been known as one of the smartest and most scientific members of my community, though, and that is what I plan on leaving as my legacy on this Earth.

As such, my focus on the sciences is strong, and I pass on as much as I can to the survivors of the Leistnief Event(local lore for “Dead Earth”). The worship of deities is somewhat frowned upon by my people after the Leistnief, but there is no specific law against religious faith. Anyway, my society is known as the Grangidians, and many of us used to be (and still are) excellent farmers, with several talented artisans and craftsmen here and there.

ADMINISTRATION: I order my people to resettle the city of Escarrix (where modern-day Atlanta is) and scavenge for anything of use. We begin the reconstruction process, and my first order of business is to establish a temporary labor system. This labor system is based on hard work and is highly rigid, but only temporary until we are back on our feet. I also establish a school to begin passing knowledge on to the Grangidian youth.

DIPLOMATIC: I request that @Vaurature and the Vailen people assist us in rebuilding, and in return, we will assist you. I also send out people into the surrounding woodlands to look for other survivors.

MILITARY: I shore up and resupply my defenses, or what’s left of them. A small team is dispatched to search the surrounding cities for survivors and resources, and they are educated well on how to safeguard against the Leistniefer (local lore for “One who causes Dead Earth”, AKA the Plague).

Diplomacy: Start a caravan toward Morea (it should be Moria) with bamboo. It should take about 8 years round trip. (I wanted to save you the decision :wink: It sounds reasonable, right?)

Preferred location: Southern Borneo, I’m calling it Argesia

Lomico Arges was the son of a powerful chieftain when the plague hit. My father died early, and I took leadership of the tribe and successfully kept it going during the peril, preventing complete collapse, and even starting to make some progress in the late stages of it. In the aftermath, the various tribes gathered together to make a pact of unity, and selected me as head chief, as my tribe was the strongest left and I also had some of the most experience of those left alive.

Administration
The chiefdom of Argesia is currently a loose association of tribes, united after the terrible plague under my rule. It is a type of restrained monarchy, with the village chiefs working roughly as a house of lords.
We develop agricultural centers in each village, but our primary sources of materials/food right now is hunting/gathering, as well as the development of natural resources.
Our primary focus, once basic needs are met, is development of scientific discoveries. This is general knowledge seeking, covering all topics, with almost everyone trying to discover new techniques and the like, as rewards are offered for new discoveries of any kind (political, technology, science, industry, agricultural, medicinal, etc).

Diplomacy
None, all focuses currently are elsewhere

Military
With a hunter/gatherer base, most of my population functions as militia. Have some defenses around/in each village. Develop and construct a few small ships, mainly for transportation and fishing purposes, but can be used for defense if necessary. Have a few in each village dedicated to fighting and defense/guard, developing advanced fighting techniques in preparation to form a highly trained army/navy in the future.

One of the Players, Elderon Masdur, arrived near ruins of Naples, Old Italy. His efforts resulted in creation a nation with a Capitol in Amalfi. He started rebuilding the city and now he is sure the people can live there. Also, requests was sent to any volunteer, who may help. Some of them have started to grow grapes and make wine.

Another One, Phoriist Cillic, found himself in nearly destroyed city of Danzig. He convinced the polish natives to rebuild a city, finally founding there his Capitol and renaming ot to Gdansk. His first order was to draft men into the Court and renew the farms. His people have been succeded in missions into Britain and Italy. Finally, defences (and a garrison) in Gdansk has been set and number of troops rises.

England was visited by a Player, Thorbjorn Leth, way before the Black Death. That incident finally has driven him to interfere. First thing he did was establishing a government. Most people are too scared to make government-like things, but you found some people, which could be useable. They are added to your Court. And now we are in Leinster, Ireland. Person, who tried to unite the land, Jack Ardame, died. A Player called Newf claimed to be his son. First think he did was a request to create a place for a King. A new castle was built, which increased the defence a little. He employed then some people without knowing their predispositions and divided the lands for his propably vassals. Thanks to the Black Death, there weren’t so many vassals though, but he got an information about the local fishes. He also sended his people to neighbouring lands and fortunately he discovered another nations! Finally, the new ruler started to create both coastal defences and his forces

The Black Death visited also a small Iceland, where one of the Players, Naturalnuke, saw the chance to prove himself. He quickly established a government in Reykjavik and started fitting it to his ideas, by changing town name to Rejiv. And he started his ‘conquest’. Ships were sended to Faroe Islands, but Faroese survivors we’re too scared to even leave their houses. His raiding ships however we’re rather exploring than finding a land to raid and finished making a contact with another Nation.

At the Greek Peninsula there was a town named Arla. After the Catastrophe, the people selected Heil Ari as their leader. He started by establishing a government and finding capable people to join his Court and requested the improvements of the fishing industry. His expedition, however, didn’t went well. Most people were too scared to even come. One of your expedition found a little community in Epirus, which gladly joined you, improving the available manpower. Army (or should I say Militia) are spending time defending your lands, but there wasn’t any bigger threats.

Now we’re going far south. One of the Zulu tribes ‘selected’ Gridnick as their Chief… mostly because all other candidates were badly poisoned. He quickly changed their name to Mythridites and started making more poisons. His forces, now are equipped in a little deadlier weapons. And process of poisoning the weapons has improved production a little. He also tried to send diplomats to other lands.

On the East Coast of the Northern America, arrived Vaurature. Young man from House Ventris. Natives chosen him as a leader of their nation. after short reforming the names, his reign was started. The province got a brand new Fort (which increased defence) and the people met the Wood Elves (as the other natives was named by the Leader). The wood elves didn’t too talkative though. Finally, the Rangers have been born.

On south of Carolina, in Georgia, people selected Ret as their Grangid. After resettling of town Escarrix, the reconstuction started. Temporary labor system got nice results. You found you may plant cotton on those lands. Defenses are rebuild.

Another Player has been found at the south of beautiful Lake Balqash. He, known as DinoD, renamed those lands to Topia and started trying to revitalize them by planting bamboo. He also established a small caravan and started sailing thorugh the lake.

We found also a Player on Southern Borneo. His name is Lomico Arges and he is now the leader of Argesia. His land, ruled as Tribal Democracy are focused to improve food gathering and developing the natural resources. His research in general knowledge and adanced fighting techniques was started.

Start of Turn 2, AD 1304/NW 5

Administration
Now that basic needs are being met, there begins to be an uptick of population. The tribes begin to work on infrastructure, making dirt roads between the villages to improve trade between villages and travel, as well as the spread of ideas. Science continues to be a main focus, with rewards for new discoveries being improved as my wealth increases. We also make deeper and deeper forays into the jungles, searching for special resources and left over treasures from before the plague. The ships are used to fish and explore the coast.

One of these forays stumbles upon a small hut. One of the searchers, Xullian, stumbles upon something. He returns to his village as a changed man: He tells of a dream given to him by the One True God, called simply Truth, declaring Xullian his prophet. He has 2 golden bracers that have grafted into his arms, and are his sign of selection. The whole country is soon following the fledgling religion The Truth.

Xullian is brought on as Religious adviser, and each tribe is asked to send their best and brightest to Kalfazar, my capitol, where there can be a focusing of knowledge and research, as well as administration and strategy.
