After a certain point my carpenter seems to refuse to work. Has anyone else seen this? I have plenty of wood so theres no reason why she isn’t producing
The AI at the moment is a wee bit funky for most of the Hearthlings. Could be to you having too many Hearthlings, and the game can’t keep up in its current build. Could be a great many of things really. A lot of the AI broke due to the backpack on the Hearthlings backs, they feel the need to place things down, then up again at random, thus halting all forms of progression period.
My Carpenter decided to stop working around 20ish Hearthlings. I’m assuming, he just found out his wife is cheating on him with some new guy in town, they’ve been sneaking off to the mine together to gather materials. It’s what they used to do together, so his heart and motivation to keep on going, is just broken.
Had this problem with a couple of new alpha 11 villages,
1st one my carpenter got to level three, then decided the queue of jobs lined up wasn’t worth his time and they vanished, and now I cannot queue up anymore. Tried demoting him, changing jobs, deleting his workstation; none have worked (to the point that he won’t actually give up his saw and change jobs!).
2nd village, same thing but a little later in time.
I give up for today.
I did find a workaround on this, especially on my blacksmith, and it seems to work. I wouldn’t delete the workstation, but put your original carpenter back to worker, and have someone else with a high mind level or at least higher than 4, to take his/her place and start with a first job. That’s what I did and it seemed to fix it. After that switch, my new blacksmith seemed to do the work that was originally assigned and got it done.
