I have windows 8 and my games outline only loads then disapears

I tried deleting the whole file multiple times but it only worked once when I restarted my game. If someone would help I would appreciate it.

hey there @BrainRain welcome to the discourse :smile:

  • what are your system specs?

  • do you SP1 installed? (if you have windows 8.1 then its already included)

  • are you playing through steam, or humble bundle?

  • if steam, ar you playing the “stable” or “unstable” release?

  • have you looked through this thread and checked if this fixes it,

I bought SH from Steam, I do have Windows 8.1. I am currently using the stable version.

are you using the 64 bit or 32 bit version? (by default its 64 bit.)

64 bit, but oddly I attempted to open SH and it opened up. Ill check if the game is randomly doing this or actually fixed. For now Ill explore the wonderful game.

If you could tell me how to finish off bugged buildings, that would be great.

what exactly do you mean? if its a building thats, for whatever reason, not being finished then youi can open up the console (left ctrl + c) and select the building, then use the command ib this will insta-build the house.

hope that helps, and if that isnt what the problem is, perhaps you could provide a screenshot? though you wont be able to upload it directly to the discourse, you could upload it to imgur.com or some such place and then provide the link.

Well, I’m back, I upgraded to windows 10. Is Stonehearth supporting Windows 10? If so, may I receive the instruction to maybe convert it.

[/quote]if i understand what the others have said, you need to run stonehearth in compatibility mode, to do so follow these steps,

2 ) Right click on Stonehearth and select “Properties” from the drop down menu.
3 ) Click on the “Compatibility” tab
4 ) Click the box for "Run this game in compatibility mode for:

If the game does not work in Windows 8 mode, repeat steps 1 - 3 and select “Windows 7” from the drop down.[/quote]
