Goblins mobbing your town?

Thatswierd, I don’t get this error at all. Oh well, I’ll do that. Thanks

I was actually able to hold off something like a 10+ goblin attack on day 7. I figured I was going to get stomped on because by night 3 there hadn’t been any attacks. So I got 3 of my villagers setup as foot soldiers, built a lot of beds which brought me a 4th foot soldier via the random events, got them setup in cloth armor (easy to make) and when the attack happened I pressed “R” to have all of my villagers respond to the attack. We beat them and lost NOBODY in the process! WOO HOO!

What is the location of goblin.json for the game when it is stored as a Steam App. Currently SteamLibrary/SteamApps/common/Stonhearth contains no entities folder.

Am I the only person that hasn’t come across a goblin mob? And to honest, I would just awwwe at them then be upset they are killing my people.

No large mobs for me, just 1 or 2 goblins every few days… if that.

Please check my forum post:

@FiredHigh … It also looks like pathing is an issue. I’ve seen Goblins spawn in without discovering a way to get to your village, even though there is one. They just stand there doing nothing. Then more spawn, and more, and more… Then all of a sudden a spawn is close enough to your village that they figure it out and you have a 12+ goblin mob attacking you.

It may be a factor, but I find it strange that most players would be attacked by 10 or more goblins overall within the third day, whether spaced out or not. Also, this would need confirming by the devs, but how many looting goblins are able to be spawned at once?

My point here is, if there were just lots of goblins being spawned but getting lost, wouldn’t you have more looting goblins and less armed ones? If it restricts to one looting goblin at a time, that makes more sense, but if not, then I think the problem goes beyond a pathing problem

That’s just what I think about it

lets see how this goes, (I for one still havent been mobbed once) I only get some thieves after like 4 or 5 days.

I havent seen any either.

I can’t seem to find the goblin.json anywhere.
This is how the folder looks.

@jellevmourik Check this link for more info:

The files and entities being described here are not directly visible by default. They are contained in a core smod file (which is basically nothing more than a renamed zip file)

hi again, thx for answering, but i’m sry (or stupid ^^’) in the folder “mods” i don’t have the folder “stonehearth” and a search over my entire system couldn’t find the file stonehearth_server.luac oO

Oh nooeeeez … i lost it …

in your mods folder you will have a file called stonehearth.smod.

This is an archive folder that contains the files that you are looking for. You can open it with any archiving tool such as WinRAR.

ohhhhhh … doinpuppydogeyes … but hey, i told you i’m stupid ;D

thx for this hint ^^

Anyone else having trouble with footmen? Even now with the hotfix I seem to have tons of issues with them, not engaging goblin, ignoring goblins for a long period of time even if they are beside them and then attacking… etc.

Additionally sometimes when I promote them they stand still and not do anything and eventually starve, if I click on them an error box appears but the game crashes before I can take a screen shot.

Are the footmen on strike? :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine have worked pretty well so far. I’ve discovered they do have a limit on their vision. If your footman is off patrolling somewhere else, and a goblin runs up and jacks you food from another part of your village… It’s likely your footman won’t even notice.

Another issue i’ve had is sometimes they’ll spot a goblin while they are inside… or the pathing to said goblin isn’t optimal, and they just freeze there with their sword out until i either A.) Kill the goblin using other means… or B.) The footman falls asleep.

I’ve been trying to put a report together but the issues I seem to be having with the class are so very inconsistent. I can’t seem to replicate it when any predictability it just happens sometimes.

This is probably harder but how would you decrease the amount of time between when you get new villagers

Me me me! I know this one!

Go to stonehearth.smod\stonehearth\scenarios\dynamic\immigration_scenario and modify the immigration_scenario.json to your preferred settings.

Something like:

  "scenario_data" : {
      "expiration_timeout" : "2h",
      "happiness_threshold" : 1,
      "food_threshold" : 1,
      "score_threshold" : 5,

As long as the AI GM event thingy can find your village you will have a steady influx.
