No Goblins to be Found

Summary:
While you may think of this as a good thing having no enemies, this happens to make the game somewhat boring as there is nothing stopping you from doing whatever you want.

Basically, besides the little “Goblin Village”, there are no enemies that come during the night to attack.

Steps to reproduce:
This occurred after eliminating the accessible goblins, as the Goblin Village spawned “broken”.

Expected Results:
I expected enemies to spawn after defeating the goblin village.

Actual Results:
No enemies spawned after attacking the goblin village.

Latest “unstable” version of the game, if anyone knows how to check the version I’m running please tell me.

System Information:
Windows 8.1, a default computer besides 8 more GB DDR3 RAM.

hey there @Appreax… the version is displayed in the top left corner… in this case, 2283 (x64) …

and my apologies but it has to be asked… you didn’t select peaceful mode, did you? :smile:

I don’t believe so, as there were some goblins in the village which killed one of my people; but just in case is there any way to check to make sure?

at the moment the normal attacks are disabled - only the campfunction for every two days … in his case the camp hasnt spawn correctly and is broken - so the trigger for ending and new camp doesnt work ^^

Just a side question, but is it possible to change my version back to Alpha 8?

no problem just get in the settings and remove under beta latest ^^ then it reverse automatically to stable8

Hey everyone. Ive scoured the forums for something similar to my problem, but nothing has come up.

What seems to happen is that the goblin boss shows up, and then the game freaks out about pathfinding and the game closes.

At least thats what it ready to me. To be clear, stonehearth stops responding (infinite loop?) and then closes. which makes me sad because I totally want to show Abby Swanky-Pants whos boss.

I also figure I should show you all this message, which is popping up continuously (in the stonehearth.txt, not on screen i should clarify)

No, it refers to the renderer.

Looking at your first post, it looks like it fails to find a point for spawning the camp.

Do you get to see the goblins in game before it crashes?

We have people who complain about no goblins, and a lot of people that get the goblins but the camp spawns in the border of the map, or on a cliff in the mountains…

Which version of the game are you playing?

Oh good heavens. I dont know where i got minecraft.txt. havent even played that in months. No I meant stonehearth.txt.

Anyway, The boss shows up, and then i click accept or decline, and then the game stops responding and crashes. There have been times, however, that I HAVE seen goblins (although in that run through I didnt manage to scroll to a goblin camp, so I cant confirm that it existed.)

Im playing 2283.

Ive confirmed that this is the same problem as the goblins sometimes spawning half on and off map.
@SteveAdamo, can you delete this thread or combine topics?

Also, is anyone else having trouble updating to the latest build? steam tells me I have the latest version, even though im still at 2283. didnt they update past version 2290 last week?

yes, 2291, but there were some issues discovered shortly thereafter and the build was reverted back to 2283…

Same or close to same situation as Appreax in the latest unstable steam version (release-210 x64). Goblins demanded goods, i declined. Later a thief/level 1 footman appeared and stole wood, chased him down and eliminated with my own footman, noticed the village on the edge of the map and it looked incomplete, when i looked over the edge there was a few oak logs, a small totem, a barricade, a small tent and poor Zug the Horrendous standing in the oblivion with no care on earth.

Off topic: Must say I love the new combat music. So many Final Fantasy/Chrono Trigger-feelings in it <3
