Goblings not actually taking my stuff

So in my latest game (R223, x64) the fancy-hatted goblin showed up and requested a bunch of things. I didn’t have them at the time, but they were easy to get (technically I had them, I just had to wait for my hearthlings to put them into storage). When the goblin came back, I had everything, and was willing to pay the ransom. The gobbo was happy and left me alone for the time being. He was even nice enough, that he didn’t even take the things he demanded! Later he came back with a second demand (a really easy one), that he also didn’t want in the end.

What do I make of this? Are the goblins actually really nice, and they just want to look tough? ^^

Addition: The last time they came, they actually took the things they asked for. A lot has happened in between, including saving, closing the game, sleeping, eating, and loading the game again. I can’t exactly say, which of these steps might have changed their original behavior. :wink:

I usually satisfy them once and then go wipe the whole camp out, haha.
