I have a normal fps rate which becomes evident when i move around the map but the objects in the game are spiky and freeze for 1-3 seconds at a time. I have noticed that my Lua is usually around 90+% just wanted to post this for the devs to see. Can’t wait for this games future, but please optimize or something
Could you upload your save so we can take a closer look at what could be causing the high lua usage?
If you’re using Steam it should be somewhere in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games. You can then upload it using the upload button in discourse’s reply box or upload it to google drive or dropbox and link it here.
In fact almost every world I create, once I hit 15 hearthlings, the Lua would somehow be busy. Very busy. It gets worse with multiple enemy spawns and a huge ton of minerals and woods being mined and also if you have farms and livestocks, the Lua gets even more busy.
I noticed by setting all the graphics to the lowest possible seems to alleviate it somewhat but it still doesn’t solve the entire issue I guess as it does come back. It would be nice if there is some form of consistent logging showing more than just how many percent Lua is working on that can be enabled for more diagnostics.
i noticed that putting it into windows mode (i also set its priority on task manager to low, idk why but i imagined it might do SOMETHING) and it became slightly more playable but still bad. thanks for looking into this glad you guys are doing your best for this game!
