Summary: For some reason my level 3 footman refuses to use the level 2 gear that is in storage

Steps to reproduce:

  1. have level 3 footman
  2. produce level 2 breastplate
  3. footman refuses to equip the breastplate even though it is better quality than the currently equipped starter gear.

Expected Results:
level 3 Footman equips level 2 gear
Actual Results:
level 3 Footman ignores the level 2 gear
Notes:
I didn’t notice if it was the same with the weapons or not, but it is definitely this way with the level 2 Iron Breastplate

Weird… did you try to give him a move order close to the item in question?

Is the breastplate in a stockpile or a crate/chest? I know crates can be a bit iffy sometimes…
