Easto1a's Created Stuff

well it was originally designed as a card table so im rather happy haha and yeh a tavern or casino area would make it fit better however this was more for an quick look to see sizing and on something that isn’t just a grey floor.

It is time for everyone to go to the beach so here are some deck chairs or beach chairs with an umbrella

Umbrella

Here’s the current beach set

bust out the voxel sunscreen, and we’re set…

but you will anger Tom with the hemisphere umbrella… make it square, or incur his wrath!

haha i know but it just looked so odd square and i couldnt do hexagonal bucket and space next perhaps

here’s a quick bucket and spade to go alongside the deck chairs

What do you need when you’re at the beach? FOOD so a picnic basket had to be created…

Yes it is a pumpkin

Looks great, but the sides seem a bit plain. If you wanted you could probably use a darker tone to simulate a basket weave, but I don’t know how Qubicle works or if you would have enough room on the model to implement. Now where is the Lifeguard? =P

i see what u mean i doubt it could do weave in qubicle but a pattern perhaps to make it less plain might be possible

So after taking @Crobo 's idea i added a little detail to the sides and came up with…

Just made a small water feature fountain thing. While initially it was to be rounded I decided to square it off as mentioned everything else in the game is squared off to some extent so to be more in-keeping

Brilliant! I love the little smile looking design on the basket, and the fountain is sweet.

Here is my brand new set. Chill out in The Garden!
Coming with 3 flower colours modelled on the already in game flowers, a small single flower pot, a large mutli-flower pot, the previously seen water fountain and three vine fences [basic, vines with ‘leaves’ and vines with flowers].

nice! what about some bushes?

That’s some real nice work @easto1a, One point I would make is that your colors are too saturated. If you watch @Tom’s live-stream voxel editing sessions he makes a some good points about model design. Save the pure saturated colors for something that is glowing or a light source. If you use full saturation on everything then you cannot make anything “pop” out like glowing eyes or a light. Models also just look much more natural with slightly subdued colors. To create less saturated colors just avoid the top right hand corner of the color selector square, pulling your color down and to the left will give it the same hue with less saturation.

Additionally, since we know thats how @Tom does it for the in-game models, anything with saturated colors will stand out even more because the rest of the environment will be made of more subdued colors.

Ah vine trellis the main stay of many a green deck:

ERMAGERD MERGIC.
but seriously. Magic.
no, really.

But I see you have a summer and spring set, @easto1a, can we expect a winter set with a nice roaring fireplace? I cannot wait to see what accessories you create next.

I’m not sure I’d love to make a winter set but i’d like to see the feel of winter from when it is added into the game.

@2_Zons and @Paranundrox i see the point with saturation I tried to make them look as real as possible and it just happened that way I doubt I’ll tweak them until I can add them into the game and then tweaking will be easier to get it correct otherwise I could tweak it now then have to further tweak later and well i am lazy
