indeed… at the very least, it should be an accessible easter egg of sorts…

:+1:

You know I had a very similar looking explosion after my first major animation attempt in Blender. The cause of course, was completely different.

Let’s just say my character will be missing both hands and part of a wrist :stuck_out_tongue:

@sdee, @Tom … if i may humbly suggest, this would serve as an excellent campaign update… given that you have a specific date in mind…

would really get the backers pumped for the alpha release! :+1:

The part that made me most happy was the date. A little egoistic perhaps, but I will be ~1300km away from my computer, celebrating christmas at my parent’s. We’re coming home the 30th, so hopefully I won’t miss that much (compared to if it would be released for christmas). I guess you could say that I don’t want Stonehearth from Santa

I’m so scared that when the alpha is out… the forum will flood with haters xD

It’s an alpha and it will be full of issues because it’s an early build of an uncompleted game. So, if people do hate on it for that reason. They are not the kind of people that we should pay any attention to.

unfortunately, this is inevitable…

@Geoffers747 and i (as well as team radiant) will do what we can to keep this place as civil as possible, but yes… some folks will simply want to come and vent… they’ll have their chance, and those threads will each be addressed in turn…

cant wait! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

=(
I also want it to be left as death animation…

I think if you’ve ponied up $30 to play the alpha, you’re less likely to be a hater. (or is that more likely…)

I know what you mean, but it would just be typical to hear:

“I didn’t pay 30$ to get this alpha s**t!? I wanted dis betah jeez wtf iz dis shz”

Know what I mean? Guess we (the good guys) need to show the better example

yes, please do! we’ll need to of course be as friendly and helpful as possible, but @Geoffers747 and i can only put out so many flames… any additional assistance from the regulars will be most appreciated…

I didn’t buy into the alpha, so I won’t be able to lend any helpful hints there, but I at least promise not to be a hater

The 30th well that’s the day before my birthday in fact with the time zone difference it will probably be on my birthday when I can first download it so that was good timing.

Two things.

They put up a link to download the game, so if you download it, will you get the game, as well as the bonus features you get if you paid $15 or more during the Kickstarter that ran from April to May?

When the full game comes out, will the developers stop using Wordpress for the website and create their own site from scratch? Also, will you be able to buy the game from that site? One last thing, will they make an official forum made from scratch and abandon Discourse?

I’m just asking.

no, radiant put out a test to see if humble bundle access was working for their backers… and so far, its worked out really well…

they bonus features (baby mammoth, etc.) will not come out initially… later on in the development cycle

why?

yes, absolutely…

again, why?
