I’m guessing your desktop isn’t too beefy, but I could be wrong. Specs?

Welcome to the forum, @Ethan_Friberg

As @ZwoeleBeer says, could you post your system specs, please?

Have you updated manually your graphic drivers?
http://stonehearth.net/some-technical-stuff/

Also, there could be programs interferring with the game, or even your antivirus.

Other than that, if you’re playing with the 64bit version of the game, try playing with the 32bit version. Or try to lower your game settings to see if it helps.

It runs fine, no lag for any other game, only thing about this game is the sudden crashing :frowning:

It is on 32 bit, but thanks

Do I have to have windows 7, I have windows 8?

No, it should run fine no matter if you have windows Vista, 7 or 8 / 8.1
Have you updated manually the drivers of your graphic card?

Which brand of graphic card do you have, for example, is it a Nvidia, an AMD, an Intel one?
Your operative system: Windows 8, you already said it.
How much RAM does your computer have… this you can see it where @8BitCrab pointed.

Also, you could upload your stonehearth.log file? (there’s an upload button when you reply to the posts:) :arrow_heading_down:

The stonehearth.log file is located in the folder where you have Stonehearth installed.

Does no one use dxdiag anymore?

@Ethan_Friberg

Press windows key and Q at the same time. This should open the search charm on the right hand side of your screen.

Type dxdiag and dxdiag.exe should appear in the box. Hit enter

Dxdiag will open, and in the bottom right hand corner there should be an option to save all information. Click it and a window will pop up, click save to save a file called DxDiag.txt to your desktop.

You can then upload the text file. Its the icon with the up arrow you see when you click reply (7th one along see @Relyss)

This file contains a lot of information about your computer, including driver versions and hardware configuration. It will enable us to help you further.

7.19 GB remaining, AMD

By crashing, i mean going unresponsive

It says new users can’t make attachments

if you upload it to a file sharing site that would work. or if your trying to upload a picture, then you could put it on imgur.com or some such place and we can embed it for you.

It looks like your gfx driver is out of date.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064

Should support your APU as it says 7400K series APU and above, and yours is an 8500 series.
