It’s likely that the save file has corrupted. Unfortunately you have to delete your save files otherwise save/load will not function correctly. It’s a common issue right now I’m afraid, though I’ve never had a file corrupt myself …

Corrupted Save Files

This is a common problem that I have experienced myself. To fix it you must access Stonehearth’s local files. Then, you must locate the folder named “saved games”. You can find this exact file by searching for it in Microsoft Windows’s built in search function. After that, you have to delete every file in that folder. Each file in the folder is a savefile of your games. After that, Stonehearth should work properly.

Alpha 4 - Corrupted save

My last few games have been getting corrupted. Last few times it’s happened, this was the lead up: Attempting to promote a worker to a carpenter, an error was thrown and it refused to show any promotions available. Soon after UI glitch, and upon attempting to load the game I had saved, I get the error saying “id” Farmer joins the town, and a pathing error is thrown, causing UI glitch.
