Carpenter gets glued to workbench and halts, consistently

Summary:
My carpenter can’t make anything. Any time they get near the workbench, the get stuck on it and freeze.
Moving the workbench “frees” them (and they’ll go pick up mats or whatnot), but as soon as they get near the workbench, they get stuck again.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have a carpenter basic workbench set up anywhere.
  2. Try to make something.
  3. Carpenter becomes statue. Sometimes quivers like trying to move.

Notes:
I have tried moving the bench to different places, but they always get stuck again.
Also tried undeploying the bench, waiting til it was stored, then redeploying.
Carpenter ran to it as soon as it was placed, then froze.

Version Number and Mods in use:
Steam alpha-latest channel 0.24.0 b843 x64

System Information:
Win7 x64

Followup: When selected, the hearthling was rapidly alternating between “Idle” and “Restocking items.” Clearing the craft queue had no effect.

Undeployed workbench, changed carpenter back into a worker. Waited about a minute. Promoted same hearthling back to Carpenter, then redeployed workbench. Seems to be functioning again.
