Can't start game

When I launch Stonehearth, it brings up a black screen window and the music only plays after a few minutes. I used to be able to play it 2 years back, but I can’t do so now.

I can’t seem to find this file.
[Paste your Stonehearth.log file here. The file is located in the game install directory. Default Steam location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth]

I don’t have this either.
[Upload your crash.dmp (from the game install directory). If you are a new user and thus unable to upload please say so and we will assist you.]

Versions and Mods:
I haven’t installed any mods. I’m not sure what version I’m playing but I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game as stated in the basic steps guide.
[What version of Stonehearth are you playing? Have you installed any mods?]

Have you attempted basic troubleshooting steps here: Crashing on start? Read this! UPDATED October 18, 2016

[Have you attempted all the steps detailed in linked post? Please do before posting!]

I’ve done all of the steps in the basic troubleshooting guide and the current workarounds but the game still doesn’t load. Hopefully there’s a way to fix it cause I love this game.

once the music has started, hit F5 – this will reset the user interface, and should allow the game to finish loading.
