Seems to become more common as my village grows :frowning:

Thanks for the log, let me page @Albert to see if he has any ideas and/or solutions for you to try…

Some more info, I did let the game just run without touching it and the error still happened.

Any news? Anything that would make this bug go away would be THE BEST!

Seems this is at the end of the log every time:
2015-Dec-07 16:01:49.619490 | client | 1 | rpc | critical error in http reactor: bad allocation

I’m getting this same issue, but I have no idea what the fix is for. Unfortunately it’s game breaking, and I bought it like 2-3 months ago and can’t play it.

Sadly the bug is kinda gamebreakinig, but that is of course to be expected with Alpha games . I’m just hoping it’ll be fixed before the next Alpha.

BTW, may I ask, are you running Stonehearth in 32-bit mode?

Hi, just to chip in and note I am having this exact same issue with Alpha 13. I can generally save/overwrite twice then have the game no longer be able to save. Restarting the game allows to progress and save a little more before it concurs again.

Looking in the log file I get the same message:
2015-Dec-12 20:23:20.163254 | client | 1 | rpc | critical error in http reactor: bad allocation

I have turned auto-save off, but it does not seem to have any impact on the manual saving not working.

It is frustrating, I think I have placed the same lantern about 5 times now  Hope you can get a fix for this soon,

Keep up the good work squashing bugs.

Are you running the game in 32 or 64 bit mode?

I am currently running the 32bit version.

Same here… Might have something to do with the issue?

Yes. The game is running out of memory / address space during the save. Everyone should be running 64-bit if possible. If 64-bit isn’t running, post a log and we’ll see if we can get it working.

Unfortunately I am using my laptop at the moment which is limited to 32bit.

Good to hear that the problem affects 32-bit only. Sadly that is impossible to fix as a Wine user (currently at least). Not that thats your problem anyway ;).

Thanks for your response, I guess I’ll just wait for Wine to support 64-bit or Stonehearth to be released for Mac, whichever comes first.

Title:Can’t properly save.

**Summary:

So what happens is at a certain point in the game i cant save anymore.
I usually have autosave on so i expect to be able to play the game without having to worry about saving
but what the problem is, after a few days (usually when i build my blacksmith / cook) the game will stop saving, when i try to save it tries but just fails to do so, i do not get any crash reports either so im really confused.
Are they aware of this already?**

Welcome @Marty !
What is your actual version ?
Does the bug comes when you reach a certain day or a certain length of game ?

Hey there @Marty, welcome to the Discourse!

In addition to @Powerclank’s questions, can you please provide your stonehearth.log, and verify if you are playing in 32 bit or 64 bit mode?

Hey there, I’d love to share the file but its 52k+ Characters and i can only post 30k.

stonehearth.log (3.3 KB)

Also im on 64 bit.

Title:
Saving Glitch
Summary:
When I save the game, sometimes instead of just saving, it takes ages to save, and I can close the saving tab, but I can’t interact with anything. It does save the game, but I have to close the game before I can interact with anything again.

Expected Results:
The game would just save and allow me to continue as normal
Actual Results:
It just says ā€œSavingā€ at the bottom of my screen, I can quit the saving tab but it’s still down there and I can’t interact with anything until I restart the game.

Notes:
I’m not very good at explaining things.
This generally occurs when I make a new save.
PLEASE HELP!!
