I started a new game but I don’t know how to get them to promote. I changed their jobs and the saw appears in my inventory, but it’s not a physical thing. The Hearthlings aren’t bugged - they still chop down trees.
sometimes you have to set up a stockpile for them to actually identify that the item exists.
I had this issue once with a sword. i had to make a new one and then that was recognized but not sure how you would fix that since its the carpentry saw. They dont need a saw to cut down trees, the saw is to make a carpenter.
