Hello! I also have the same issue, I just bought the game and cannot boot it even from it’s .exe file, I’m kinda sad that I can’t enjoy a game I just purchased… Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue?
A good way to start would be to let us know your PC specs and such,
Such as the processor, Graphics drive, OS, RAM and more
Did you bought it on steam?

Does the game crash with an error? Or it simply does not open at all?
Ah yes, my bad! My computer has:
windows 7 ultimate, 16 GB RAM, graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 200, processor: AMD FX™-8350 Eight-Core Processor, 4000 MHz, 4 core('s), 8 logische processor(s) (sorry that it’s in Dutch, I don’t know how to correctly translate the term), system type: x64.
I did indeed buy the game on Steam! The game has succesfully booted from it’s .exe file 2 times since purchase so I’m happy I got to play it ^^ other times it gave me the error stating that ‘‘this version of the file is not compatible with my windows’’. But then I noticed there is a x64 file inside the gamefolder with another .exe file, and only this one has a 100% succesrate in bootin’ as far as I have experienced, so the mistake was on my part probably ^^. Game still doesn’t boot from Steam though, giving me the error: ‘‘Failed to start game: invalid platform’’.
It’s a very fun game though! So these errors are only mildly inconvenient!

Do you have Service Pack 1 installed on your Windows 7, @Angolai ?
Yes I have! I can see it displayed beneath the information about my computer!
Do you have a stonehearth.log or crash.dmp inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth?
If so, could you upload them?
Also, have you verified that your graphic drivers are up to date from this page? : Download Drivers
(sometimes the auto-updaters don’t detect that there are newer versions).
