Bug with the names showing up as ***

Summary

All my hearthling names are “***” outside of their character sheets and the character sheet summaries. Even their pets will have “tamed by ***”

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch the game
  2. Play the game.
  3. Profit

Expected Results:

All the names to be in the correct format in all guis and interfaces

Actual Results:

The names are only present in the character sheets and citizen menu

Seems odd, could you perhaps upload your save so the devs can look into it? It should be where you installed your game

Paging @Brackhar @jamiltron (sorry i’m not sure which on eof you guys were in charge of those parts)

First two things to try.

  1. Try updating your game to the latest version, which is 726.

If that doesn’t fix it, then

  1. Uninstall the game, and reinstall it.

If neither of those help, then we should page someone. This could easily be caused by a messed up file, and updating it or reinstalling it would fix that.

That seems like caused by a translation mod or something?

Have you updated the game to the latest unstable (#729), @CaptTryMe? Did that help?

Nope but I’ve learned to live with it

Try to delete russian.smod seems to fix it for me

Thx for the tip didn’t know if it worked but i thought i should give it a try and it works
