ACE - Authorized Community Expansion Project

Oh, I did not realize they had actually had plans and files for some of that already! That is reassuring to hear. And I agree there is nothing wrong with alcohol necessarily in and of itself, just know the rating system can get strict about certain things, but I am certainly not one to complain about more content  I was also not aware of the current and planned implantation of the seasonal events, which is very exciting! I am constantly impressed by everything I’ve read about this project and admire how meticulously and professionally you are handling it, especially in regards to the important but subtle goal of preserving the spirit and vision and goals of the original development team while attempting to shape the game into its most definitive form possible. Thank you!

Ah yes, indeed :merry:
Luckily for us, however, ACE still counts as a mod/user content and as such it doesn’t affect the game’s ratings!

Do animals still get stuck on pasture bedding? I was having issues with ducks, chickens, and cows and such getting stuck and starving. Keep up the great work! Much appreciated.

I remember when you reported it and we looked into it but couldn’t reproduce nor figure out how it could happen :glum: so I’m afraid nothing was changed regarding that…

We’d need more details like pictures and/or a savegame

Ok. I’ll see what I can do. Thank you.

Hey has anyone had the problem of ACE causing a black screen and music on startup? I can’t play with the mod anymore. :forlorn:

Yes :merry:
And you could’ve typed it on the “Search” bar to find all the answers immediately :jubilant:

This is actually a known issue with Stonehearth itself, it’s unrelated to specific mods (although it can be “caused” by mods). I’ll copy what we have to say about it in our Discord Server FAQ:

If you have a black screen and your game is not starting, but you can still hear music, you might be facing a load issue. This is a known base game issue and unfortunately there’s not much that can be done: it happens when your game doesn’t load the UI fast enough while busy loading all the game content. It will happen more often the more loaded your game is (with mods) and the lower your computer specs are. If that happens to you, however, don’t panic! You can refresh the game’s UI by pressing F5 - this will jump start the game normally.

There are many useful tips in ou FAQ, mostly about performance, how to fix common issues and such. And we also have a list of curated/compatible mods and - most importantly - incompatible ones. I definitely recommend checking it out :merry:

Thank you so much! Sorry, I tried to search but there were so many threads with differing answers. Of course, the real answer is that my poor laptop is probably shouldn’t be running a resource intensive game like Stonehearth.
I’ll try that and get back to playing with ACE! I’ll also join the discord soon! Thank you again! :jubilant:

I hope that with a little bit of practice, I’ll eventually be able to add to this a little bit

hello, I have a problem I wanted to know if someone could help me. I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem but my crafters have a bug when I order them to make the presents for Winterfest. the bug is that they run around collecting all the coins to make the presents but refuse to go and make them. is there anything that I need to do?

Are you using other mods if yes could you list them

the only mods i have on are ACE the other mods are off

Usually when crafters behave weirdly, it’s because some of their ingredients (or even the workbench they need to use for crafting) are inaccessible.

Found a bug thats breaking my game

Hi, everything that has health/HP in my village doesn’t die when it reaches 0HP. Villagers, Doors, Golems, none of them can die. It’s like my entire faction is invincible.

You seem to still be running version 0.9.6.11, it has since been updated to 0.9.6.11c, make sure to update ACE and try again, these errors were fixed since then :merry:

Personally I’m running 0.9.6.11d

I have more errors in the issue thread on steam

It probably auto updated now, but I’m pretty sure that when you got that error you posted you still had version 0.9.6.11

The reason is simple, the error mentions a variable and a line of code that doesn’t even exist anymore in 0.9.6.11c+
I’ll check the other issues

You’re right, I just had to reinstall it on steam. Thanks for your help. Great work with this mod.
