16GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7800 series

edit: i have upload it on zippy chromimum.log

tried - but same issue ^^ and yes i have removed all remaining folders ^^ now i try to build a new settlement with the x32 version (in the old was to many bugs saved)

Same problem here, 64Bit version closes right after start, 32 Bit works great

8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6800

Does this line from chromium.log help:
[0205/184800:ERROR:renderer_main.cc(207)] Running without renderer sandbox

additionally to the mentiones stonehearth.log lines there is also:

Even with all these evil hacks I’ve done to the game, it seems to run smooth.

Win7 x64 Home Premium SP1, i7-3370K @ 3.5 GHz, 8GB RAM, Stonehearth Version 0.1.0.2133 (x64).

So it didn’t work for me either. Checked this thread for ideas before even trying anything.

  • Uninstalled via Steam (Delete Local Content…).
  • Went to folder and deleted what was left (lots of files, didn’t care to make a list of the files though).
  • Back to Steam, installed from scratch.
  • Works! (At least to start, I haven’t played anything yet.)

Edit: I noticed a little later that Steam reset the dev setting, so when I started I didn’t verify that the build number was correct. But when I the changed to dev build 2-3 days after it did indeed work. Not sure if a hotfix was released in between though.

Edit: I didn’t have any active mods loaded. It was a long time ago I tried any mods, but I can’t guarantee that all were completely removed.

Oh, I think text said “welcome to alpha 5” when we are to reply to the send crash reports question

Works just fine for me

Processor : Intel Core I7-3612QM CPU 2.10GHz

RAM : 8 GB

64-Bit Operating System

not sure if this is the same thing but Graphics are Intel HD 4000

For people who are still crashing, could you try manually double clicking on the Stonehearth.exe file in our Steam local content directory instead of launching the app from the Steam UI? I just want to make sure you’re not running into this bug:

Thanks!

thx for the info - but already tried ^^ it has nothing with steam todo (also tried to block the exe + folder via firewall) - same issue

edit: just for info yes i also tried the compatibility modus and run as admin ^^

It’s interesting that the application is looking for stonehearth.json in the x64 folder, and not stonehearth.exe.

Have you tried deleting the stonehearth folder within steamapps/common and redownloading?

Hmm, there is a graphic setting file called Stonehearth.json in the 32bit folder, but not the 64 bit. You could try copying the stonehearth.json file from the main folder into the x64 subfolder to see if that helps?

ayay sir! like i have said in some post before - i have killed all

for tests i have also copied all files form the x64folder in the x86(mainfolder) - same issue? i have think the i will get some errors because of change of directory but nothing - short black window and then the normal windoof ^^

i am able to start it in window mode, but not in fullscreen. But i only get as far as the menu screen

Double clicking the exe in the Stonehearth folder causes window to pop up very briefly and close. From the x64 folder this error:

Could you try copying the stonehearth.json file from common/Stonehearth in to the x64 folder?

It’s searching for a file it can’t find, and I’m wondering if this might be a workaround

Tried - no luck –
Log from x6 folder:

stonehearth.log (2.0 KB)

same with old post - nothing happens ^^ after some minutes steam says stonehearth plays already ^^

Pretty sure it works on my (antiquated) machine. I was having crashing issues, but that was because I was working on a mod.
