Workers idle needlessly

After putting several hours into a game I always reach a point, after making progress towards getting at least one of each job (though not a shepard yet here), that the workers just decide to quit (or strike, lol) and just stick to idle - notice to the left I have a nice area mined and ready to haul back to open stockpiles (yes I have several open) also to the right are beds I’m trying to remove so I can upgrade them. Haven’t gotten any error messages or anything of the like (did get one once when it went a little screwy for a sec after trying to rearrange a craft queue line) Any idea how to fix this or just one of the things that happens, I have restarted the game and save a few times and that hasn’t fixed it yet.

hey there @Novonia, welcome tot he discourse

could you perhaps upload your save file over in this thread,

http://discourse.stonehearth.net/t/epic-gigantic-a14-saves/19524?u=8bitcrab

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games\ all the files here are numbers, is that the right area?? if so which file do you need?

It would be the whole folder, each one is a different save.

Keep in mind that you are not playing on the latest version, which mean whatever is bugging you now, could be already being fixed.

that is the correct spot.
if the save where this is happening in-game is the newest save, then just upload the last modified folder.
hmm… thats true… not sure if TR wants saves from A13 or not…

Just to not let you without a solution, pause the game. While the game is paused it will focus all resources into finishing ongoing tasks. You will notice after a few seconds (10 or so) that your hearthlings will not be listed as idle anymore, when you got a good number not idle, unpause the game.

The new dev versions (which are more of test versions without quality of a full alpha release yet) got this idle bug resolved for me. Unfortunately your save from a13 would not be compatible so if you chose to move into newer versions you would need to start over your town.

had this save from yesterday, let it run a bit after the update and it didn’t change, will try the pause to reset tasks idea. also it tells me there are invalid file types when I try the whole folder

are you trying to upload the folder directly or as a .zip?

i should have mentioned it earlier, but make sure to zip the folder before uploading it otherwise it might be too big.

pausing seems to work for now, I dunno if its because I use the 2x alot of the time…

also, I have rar not zip.
