Wont finish placing furniture

Summary:
I’m building houses for my town but they wont put all the furniture in. They keep forgetting to put one wall lamp in.
Steps to reproduce:

It would probably be helpful if you uploaded the building template or a save file with this building in it. Could any of the @moderators post those instructions for uploading save files?

Just a note, I’ve run across the inability to place lamps, too, and it usually is because there is something in the way of placing a ladder, like furniture or chests or fence. It seems that if there is something directly under where the lamp should be placed, they cannot put a ladder there.

As a side note, I’ve been successful sometimes by placing a ladder myself (and then trying to make sure I change my template).

They might not be able to reach the place where the lamp is meant to be because some other object is blocking it, as @Golden says.

These are the instructions to upload a savefile:

  1. Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
  2. Zip the folder.
  3. Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
  4. Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
  5. Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
  6. (Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
  7. Upload the save.
  8. If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
  9. If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

You know now that you mention it, I think that was the problem. I did notice that the ladder they wanted to build to get to the lamp was on top of a chair.
