Hello Richard, hope you can provide the final flagstones on the path out of alpha and into beta. This game doesn’t seem to know where it is going at the moment.

Welcome Richard. Hope you have lots of fun developing Stonehearth

Why do you think they dont know where this game will go? It’s Alpha, so they concentrate on developing and polishing the basic features (performance, AI, building, necessary balancing etc.). So I think it’s a little bit early to say they dont have a plan or direction for the game.

I’m basing that on comments made by the team indicating that while the destination is known, the precise method of getting there isn’t. Plus Richard has been employed as a designer which suggests that the final design for StoneHearth isn’t set in … err, stone.

Yet.

Well, no one really knows what the method of getting to the end of a game’s development is, that’s what makes this industry so difficult. That said, I’m super stoked to be working with these dudes and you guys to bring this game across the finish line.
