Just about all of my hearthlings have this. Most are carrying nothing or only 1 item.

with only one pelt you can make lots of things 
so its from a giant rabbit^^

hmm… i’m not sure if the debufs feature is fully implemented yet, so that could be the cause.
going to page @sdee @yshan to see whether this is a bug or just a not fully implemented feature.

Hi there
That buff is just the default buff you get when you carry something so you don’t move so quickly when you carry stuff (in this case, she’s carrying a log while building). Is not affected by backpack items. It’s not supposed to be visible to the player. Will fix.

aha, i thought it had something to do with that… though one thing to note is that if they completely fill their backpacks the item in their hand causes this debuf… or did i just misunderstand and thats actually intentional…
@8BitCrab It has always been the case that hearthlings carrying items move slower. The buff is supposed to be invisible and has always been there. We recently made a change that accidentally caused invisible buffs to show up in the UI. This will be fixed soon.
