Summary: After defeating a goblin camp, attempting to use the built-in feature to automatically repair the dug-out ground of their camp location results in a partially repaired ground. I suspect this is because this repair ground ability is using the old builder, because it fails in similar ways to how the old builder is failing in the latest version.
Steps to reproduce:
- Defeat goblin camp by diplomacy or conquest.
- Use command on Pile of Dirt object at camp to repair the ground.
- Wait for your workers to single-buttock the job.
Expected Results: Fully-repaired ground, consumed Pile of Dirt
Actual Results: Partially-repaired ground, Pile of Dirt item still hanging around (sometimes moved to a stockpile)
Version Number and Mods in use: latest unstable, no mods
They just need to stop destroying the ground in the first place. I remember older versions where all the camps made holes in the ground; even the crypts. They fixed that, so not sure why they can’t fix this one.
Because it’s intentional for goblin camps to leave holes, I assume, and the team seems to want to keep that.
IMO goblin camps would be far less intimidating if they were eco-friendly and didn’t trample out the grass.
Of course, reparing needs to work.
as far as i can remember one of the reasons is because the developers want to create more interaction between the environment and its inhabitants as part of the gameplay
but yes, at least for me it always leaves the dirt pile space(3x3) open, maybe because it looks like the building order avoids the placed dirt pile
