Ranged weapons and traps

Currently the only way to defeat a goblin hoard is to attack them using melee weapons.
To make combat a bit more interesting we can use ranged weapons such as bow and arrow. Different types of arrow does different affects and different bows does different amount of damage. We can also set traps around our town like mine bombs and pit traps ect. The goblins has access to these items to make the combat system balance

This is all planned for a long time :slight_smile: We will surely see ranged combat in about 2-3 alphas from now, About traps I am not sure, but I could bet there will be some usefulness to them if it comes to combat.

well when the trapper gets to a certain level the description says you get “better traps for unwelcome neighbors” though its not implemented yet…

heres what it says in game :smile:

"lvl 5 toothier traps: traps now lure in and catch larger prey "

"lvl 6 deadliest catch: lay special trapping zones to ‘deter’ inquisitive neighbors"

Trappers can reach a certain level to lay monster traps.
