Praise - Stonehearth Mod Manager

Yep, if that’s the case, we definitely need a better host or something

I just checked, and my mod (TMC) is a little more than 15MB and that doesn’t even have the spiders and such (and isn’t even compatible)

Also it scares me that it’s latest version is said to be for A13 stable because it won’t workd and there’s already 5 Downloads

Sry i think they were my testdownloads

and my test downloads too.

i have removed the version (the listed download) associated with your Mod Hyrule as the file doesn’t exist so it creates a weird feedback loop for the site, it basically uploads the file but then the host must do some overnight purge or the webserver setup must delete the file when it does maintenance or something.

I have put a limit of 2mb when uploading so it presents an error now (until it’s fixed long term) to catch any uploads great than 2mb.

Something else which is weird is that it seems as though it supports files possibly up to 2.9999 etc, though i can’t tell for sure, the Japanese Translation from @CurryDays has uploaded fine and the latest one uploaded is 2,965,356.

More testing needed.

I have found a good host now that i’ve been watching for a while i just need to count my pennies and see if i have enough.

No you’re not wrong.

Turns out by using GitHub it magically added 51mb to the size, endpieces is only 259kb and whitepieces is 164kb.

Ah sorry to hear that bud, hopefully it’s all sorted now, glad you’ve been able to upload to praise again.

If anyone has any time and wants to make a wallpaper, a screenshot of something interesting from stonehearth for the app that would be cool, it needs to be 960x640px

I could try drawing something nice enough
Something that’ll fit the setting of a Mod manager

that would be the best ^^ i have tried to make some nice ingame screenshots but at the end i havent send them because they are to full etc. or doesnt fit in a mod manager xD

Thanks all  I look forward to the images  doesn’t have to be amazing just something, maybe with an animal in

the image is done! (i think…)

i wanted to make it a bit more brighter… but i suppose things are the way they are

the image does have some detailed contrast so if you want to, you can go and decrease it(contrast) with any image editing software you have (that’ll make it look a bit more brighter and clearer, but a bit less smooth)

Looks great thanks, i’ll add it in, Wiese has done lots of testing of which i’m grateful for, i think we’re close to a release as soon as i add in steam install detection which shouldn’t take long, if you want Hyrule i can send you over the version with your image in (when added) to see if you can find any bugs?

Thanks!
Don’t hesitate to ask me if you need a small image like that.
It doesn’t take too long to render, so i can afford to use that little time

Also i’d love to help find bugs and such, but i’m afraid i’m not the most active in-game wise (Dark Souls 2 has taken over my life)

I guess there’s no reason to not send me it, but i wouldn’t expect to get much out of it

Well the new version is live if anyone wants to try it :slightly_smiling:

Thanks to all who have helped though it doesn’t end here  this is just v1 of v2 :stuck_out_tongue:

[edit] there was a minor bug where it wasn’t updating the dl counter on the website when using the app but its fixed now, i’d recommend downloading the app again if you have already.

Hey,

I’m in the process on working on a large website in the hope to create a one stop place for all Stonehearth content. At the moment I am implementing the functionality for mods, but have plans for allowing users to create guides which can be shared though the site as well as a place for building templates and any other content which can be shared among players. I like the work you have done on creating a client which can keep the mods updated etc. the plan is to have the site track all the mods and allow for creators to upload development builds of mods as well as allow players to keep track of what versions of the games the mod supports, the idea is to also create an archive of past mod versions so that players on older game versions can still use the version of the mod which supported it.

The design is kind of sorted, although I could change it, and I am now just wiring up the server stuff, but hoping to launch within the next couple of weeks. Would you be interested in an API for your client? I would be happy to provide this if it something you would like, my background / job is a web developer so this is something I am very familiar with which is why I have decided to work on this project.

If you would like to see the design of the site so far, then I have a demo running here http://stonehearthmods.tomerbe.co.uk/ and to view a demo of the mod view page here http://stonehearthmods.tomerbe.co.uk/mod/more-decor, let me know if you are interested :slightly_smiling:

Hi Tom

This is exactly what my PraiseDB website is already, i like what you’ve done so far though and thanks for the positive comments too.

Just added a file download link for the versions on each mod page for those of you who want to download it directly instead of through the client :slightly_smiling:

Are you excluding the .git folder from the zipped mod file?

@captainawesome that was the reason why yes.

  • Updated main post now that the new version is live.

New update to fix a bug with mods not listing correctly in the app, i think it’s fixed.

Fixed the edit page of versions on the website, you can now edit your version properly but you need to resubmit the mod file.

Hey @Shizuyori, do you think you could add the ability for us mod owners to change the mod’s banner image?
